Eigentum & Finanzierung

This page explains how Sachstruktur is owned, funded and governed. Our independence is the cornerstone of our journalism, and we are transparent about every source of revenue and every decision-making structure that supports our work.

Who owns Sachstruktur?

Sachstruktur is owned by Nordklar Media Ltd, a private company registered in Gibraltar under company number C 92009. The registered office is at Office 9, Business Centre, Valletta, 0000. The firm is also listed on the Malta Business Registry. Nordklar Media Ltd operates the publication and is the sole legal entity behind all editorial and commercial activities. No political party, government body or media conglomerate holds any stake in the company. Ownership rests entirely with the private founders who established the publication in 2024.

This structure ensures that editorial decisions are never dictated by outside shareholders or interest groups. The company has no debt obligations to financial institutions that could influence coverage. All strategic decisions about the direction of Sachstruktur are made internally, with the sole aim of serving readers with trustworthy Swedish journalism.

How is Sachstruktur funded?

Revenue comes from display advertising, affiliate links, commercial partnerships, sponsored content, newsletter sponsorships and content licensing. Every funded piece of content is clearly labelled – sponsored articles carry a visible disclosure, affiliate links are marked as such, and commercial partnerships are identified at the point of engagement. Advertising is sold directly and through selected networks, and all advertisements are reviewed to ensure they do not conflict with our editorial mission.

No single revenue stream accounts for more than half of our total income. This diversification protects the newsroom from pressure by any one advertiser or partner. Sponsored content is never commissioned by the same journalists who cover the subject for news; the commercial team handles all client relationships, and editorial staff are not involved in sales. Full details are available in our Advertising and Affiliate Disclosure and our Sponsored Content Policy.

Who is responsible for editorial independence?

Ultimately, Chefredaktör Florian Schmid is accountable for every editorial decision and publication. He reports directly to the board of Nordklar Media Ltd, but the board has no authority over individual stories, headlines or sourcing decisions. Florian Schmid holds the final veto on all content and is the named contact for corrections and complaints. His full biography and contact details are on the Our Team page.

The governance structure also includes a dedicated fact-checking desk led by Jessica Fischer, who answers only to the editor-in-chief. Commercial staff have no influence on the newsroom. The editorial policy, which is published separately, makes clear that no commercial relationship can determine the conclusion of an article or the selection of topics. This separation is enforced by internal guidelines, and any breach is reported directly to the editor.

What you can expect from us

You can expect full transparency about who pays for our journalism and how that journalism is produced. Every article carries a named writer, an editor and a fact-checker before publication. AI-assisted tools may support research, translation or formatting, but they never replace human editorial judgement. No story is published without a human editor approving it, and all sources are verified by our team. We do not fabricate quotes, interviews or expert profiles. If we make a mistake, we correct it promptly and prominently, as outlined in our Corrections Policy.

We also commit to clear labelling of all commercial material. You will never encounter sponsored content that looks like independent journalism. Affiliate links are disclosed, and any content that is commissioned by a partner is marked as such. Our AI and Automation Policy explains exactly where and how technology is used.
